Mr. Dietl, our training officer, supervised us in the meeting room and took us a little nervous before the encounter probably unique.

At about 15

Little later then the whole caravan moved along with the President in our room.

The president came to us immediately and vigorously shook our hands cold with excitement.

Sarah Besemer and Matthias Bauer, on this day the two chosen representatives, began with the presentation of the DH study and gave an insight into their bachelor theses.

Then came my part: Mr. President Wulff, who was facing me directly and alone with his stature and his penetrating voice makes a powerful impression that the conversation began with me.

I told him about my training program, in particular of our work in the international operating divisions. The foreign language film about the competition from my colleague, Ramona, and he looked at me with interest. I explained to him that have the integration of the three languages used and the independent implementation of the project for the daily work of a great benefit.

Mr. Wulff was surprised when he heard what opportunities we have on foreign assignments during the training. I must confess that these few minutes, with all the press people and the entire leadership of the company, were very stressful. One would like to make at this moment, of course, no fault, after all the photographers and journalists are always ready to shoot:)

So I was glad when Mr. Wulff went on to the next station.

Irene Manthei, trainee technical illustrator explained to the President their work on the CAD program, with which they computerized drawings, customizable, for example by linear actuators.

The last station

Sonja Kiehl man, Sandro Marucci and Philipp Heinemann gave an insight into the training of industrial mechanics and mechatronics. The MPS was the Didactic station Mr. Wulff a vivid illustration of the application of automation components.

'/ p>

Philipp Heinemann an apprenticeship as a mechanic and explained the functions of the components of the MPS station, a modular training factory.

At the end of the presentation the President said he was convinced that Festo go with his outstanding training the right way. After work, the relief was great for us as Mr. Dietl, the sovereign presence.

We have managed to show the President that the youth can be much more “coma drinking” as the popular media stereotypes of “sofa Gammeln” and listlessness.

Little later the man left, the laws adopted by the Bundestag can be legally carried his signature, the plant site, and with him many police officers, sniffer dogs, doctors, journalists, cameramen and heavily armored cars.

For us and for students it was certainly a great experience. If we see a picture with the head of state on the Internet or in the newspaper, which is definitely above the bed:)

Hello dear blog readers and blog readers,Yesterday, my colleague Mark Hartung and I arrived at a two-week stay abroad in Switzerland. After a flight lasting about 25 minutes and a subsequent perfect landing we were met by two very friendly Swiss trainees picked up at the airport and taken directly to the Swiss company Festo in Dietikon.

Then it went

Also start soon. – We were immediately presented to the department in which we will be working the next 2 weeks: Mark will spend the entire transfer time in production and I will get a detailed insight into the accounting system from Festo.

Employees in the accounting records are all very friendly and said to Mark that it was very pleasant in the production.

Far I can not say anything specific about the tasks in this department but I'm so determined to make up my transfer over time.

You have to get used to a little of the Swiss dialect to understand him well and can learn as a salesman in the office to get by without a “sharp S” on the keyboard, otherwise I can say that we here in Switzerland cope quite well.

Today is the second day and apart from a lot of new experiences in the work we do today will be a tour through the capital of the canton, Zurich.

You soon and best regards

Since a lot has happened. There were ups and downs, times and stressful moments that you would like preserved. Now I'm about to give my thesis into print. After the presentation of my work study ends at Festo. I've probably done it.

Time Bachelor of work was again marked by a lot of work and overtime to meet the set requirements. Well, the default applications are defined and the camera is programmed so that they can be sold as a complete distribution system of a standard application. So the goal is reached.

Hello dear blog readers and blog readers,Enclosed please find a great report of the industrial business with additional qualification in the 3rd Year of apprenticeship.During the training, they have the option of a 2-week stay in London and then another 3-week stay in a Spanish speaking country to be completed.

Mayer Ramona Ecker and Steffen were in Mexico, read here what the two have lived in 4 weeks.

Have fun reading it

Sonja Heldt

Report on Mexico 30.05.2011 – 24.06.2011:

Steffens Overview:

My colleague Ramona Mayer and I have made in late May on the way to our study abroad to Mexico.

As part of our teaching time we have spent 4 weeks in Mexico, at our school Spanish skills to bring to a level that allows us to express our care and are thus prepared for the job requirements with Spanish-speaking employees and customers.

After 22 hours

Bad trip on 30 May and 1 June it was Sunday evening at 21.30 clock time Mexican finally made it! We arrived in Playa del Carmen.

7 language schools in the city, which lies in the state of Quintana Roo, on the east coast of Mexico, it is a focal point for Spanish learners from all over the world.

Against all warnings

Of acquaintances and friends we had with our own security, never a problem. Upon arrival at the airport in Cancun we were immersed in an alien world.
We had no experience with the South Americans. Accordingly, we were overly cautious and vigilant.

Over the next few days we were very fast but this feeling going on, because at no time we had problems with violence, robbery and the like.

Our accommodation was an apartment that is rented out about our school, “El Estudiante”.
At the beginning we lived there together with the Swiss German-speaking Schwiitzer Alain, who stayed in Playa, began his group to travel through South America.
Sasha later followed from Magdeburg, who as part of his studies with many clever ideas, the organization of school modernized.
In the last week Slavko came from Dresden to us in the WG, which we were able to help because of his rusty Spanish skills in everyday life in Playa.

On 1

Monday we went for the first time in the school, where we started after a short placement test the advanced course with our teachers Neptalí.

Since our motivation was very high, we could determine the topics and content of the course pretty much self.

To our amazement Nepatlí

Shared with us on the last day of school, that he had no longer as willing to work students in his course

Who wants to indulge in quiet Neptalí four weeks, it has no problems.

But we have him a bit more work than usual and brings so much taken away as possible.

So we have talked about the following topics, read and laugh:

Mexican culture, drug cartels, Drogenverteilwege, the impact of the United States of America, tourism in Mexico, the impact of tourism, the Mayan culture, everyday language family in Mexico, religion, differences between Europe and many more …

The topic of conversation “features of modern Mexican”, which are found mainly in large cities and tourist towns, was our impression that this is due among other distinguished candor and whimsy.

They are very accessible and helpful, as evidenced by our teachers as well as acquaintances from the city life.

You can talk to these people quickly about personal things, and trust them with this.

Detachment and coolness, as it is in Europe partly spread exists, simply do not.

Negative experiences we have made in terms of mood swings. In one moment, you can laugh and have fun with the people, the next moment it can be very stressful and tired making.

In Mexico from November to February is high season for tourists.
June-October rainy season and thus is regarded as the run was quite low in Playa.

Fortunately

Started the fierce, almost daily rain until the day of our departure.
We had about five days of rain in our 4 weeks, we could use for alternative activities, such as shopping, Mexican cinema / movies and voluntary homework. The remaining days, however, were marked by sunshine and getting used to humidity.

An employee of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from the Department of Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection Research has visited us at Festo to us something about the disaster in Japan to explain.

First he described us in chronological order the exact course of the disaster, ie the time at which the earthquake took place, such as the tsunami was triggered and how it finally happened that the meltdown occurred. He then told us how the nuclear power plants and which eventually results in radioactive radiation escapes.

Next he explained to us how radiation affects humans, so if you into “contact” is and how much of this radiation is responsible for its health effects.

Finally the Lord gave us

Hello dear blog readers and blog readers,

Last Wednesday I was once again the Business English training for future business trainees who will start in September 2011 to hold their training.

Commercial apprentices are training that takes place over three days 2 hours each, prepared for the use of English in their future professional activity.

In the first hour I was trying to rob them of their fear of presenting in a different language: Everyone could imagine after a short preparation time, even with a creatively designed poster – this way they learn, of course, also know each other better . Of course, each trainee has also made the interesting questions his future colleagues.

But

Behave like English speaking customers? What do I need to note the English language in the professional world? To this and other questions, I gave the trainees in addition to tips and tasks.

I'm looking forward to the next 2 hours Business English that are due next Wednesday. There we will talk mainly about “Telephoning” and practice, for example, how you react to an English-language call.

Love

Here are a few parting words from our intern Lukas Drung – read a lot of fun …After almost 3 ½ months has come: my internship comes to an end at Festo.I've described in my last report to the training tasks my blog, I will not repeat myself, but prefer to write about the “larger” projects, something I could do in that department.

First there was the Internet research on various online stores of competitors from Festo. First of all, I've gained an overview and then looked at one of the many shops in more detail. This I have analyzed in detail and then taken over all positive and negative aspects of the shop into a Power Point presentation.

Since I did not know the online store of Festo I could go about this task impartially .

Another project was the evaluation of a questionnaire, the TM-round info. The TM-info round takes place once a quarter and will give an insight into the TM-TM-sections for the employees.

Goal of the evaluation was to both the overall and the assessment of individual aspects graphically represent and respond to suggestions for improvement can be. For this I was allowed to make a Power Point presentation.

Probably “largest” project was to analyze and evaluate the faxes from Brazil, which can not be detected automatically. Using the fax-monitoring tools, I could just fax it to me curious about, so the analysis could begin. First of all I had to find out the most common sources of error, where the tool was extremely helpful. In most of the documents is the source of error is specified and thus evaluate it was only a matter of time, all faxes. And not just one day since I've analyzed it was a pretty time-consuming work. Finally, I had to represent graphically this evaluation, so that you get a quick overview of where exactly are the errors.

Positive in this work was that you could quickly see results. Once the data have been forwarded to my analysis and found a solution for the error, could be seen that there were every day fewer and fewer faxes.

So much of my work at Festo as an intern in the Department of Global Sales Channels.

I hope you enjoyed the little glimpse:)

After the internship, I will first of all go on vacation, but until that happens it means advertise, advertise, advertise … I'm going to apply for different subjects and I hope I find a suitable place to study.

My

Aspired study place currently reads: Japanese Studies

Thanks for the time that I was able to spend here. I hope to see you again soon;)
