Were already carried out various projects, such as a chair or a tray ready. This time we made a bird house. After an extensive introduction to Festool woodworking machines, we were under the guidance of a carpenter three masters to lend a hand. The various pieces were treated with a circular saw, Obersäge, jigsaw and surface grinding process in order to then build a bird house together exclusive.

So we were able to learn once again outside of the training period new, something with colleagues and at the same time we still had a Christmas present for mom.

The day was long, but as time went on the flight and we had great fun at work.

On Monday, the first arrival feels like 5 hours to move backwards. After a “case with a bang landing” we were then picked up by a taxi driver who was about the size of our cases.
When we arrived at Festo AM, we were warmly welcomed and taken to the office of our contact.

After a brief conversation about flight and co. We received the “great” news that we may plunge us again into the risky adventure taxi driving to get to our apartment.

Besides shopping without bags, changing money exchange offices in large storage room and a McDonald's residence, was released that day, not much.

On Tuesday morning we were then shown the way to Festo. If you know it and who knows, it's easy:) But the process is as it turns out, no problem, because you always somehow find the way back and found the city

Imrich, apprentices as a clerk in the third year of training, tells of her experiences at Festo product.

Who are the staff of Festo products and how they work together?

Are usually about two to four trainees at Festo goods vested in every eight weeks, as change in another department of Festo. The concept of Festo products provides that the new trainees will be taught by others.

There is also a training officer, who takes care of the trainees and help them in their duties. Once a week there is also a lesson. There are open questions clarified and shared experiences. We learn at such meetings, such as goods, for example umbucht or invoices created.

The training officer made us to check lists so that we understand certain steps later and can work independently.

The moment is also a Umschülerin Festo products, which is used for some time with us. It helps us with our tasks is regularly on site and serves as a contact person in case of problems.

Does each trainee or a different task each responsible for everything?

Responsible for everything. However, there is division of labor, so for example, not all are in the same camp, while no one is in the office to make calls to accept. However, we go through again and again so that everyone has worked in all areas of Festo products, such as order taking, order entry, receiving, posting goods, picking and shipping of orders.

What happens during a normal working day at Festo product?

FJTs find the place at the Erich-Kästner-Schule in Nellingen. At this point, as usual, many thanks to the great working relationship with all those responsible for the Erich-Kästner-Schule together we are in the new “Kubino” at the lunch seminar days.

The preparations for this run for weeks at full speed. I'm already looking forward to an exciting and interesting week with my Referenten-Kollegen/innen and the trainees.

We also could participate in a mental training. Here we were prepared for the impending stress and nervousness. It was very interesting, so little time to participate. We did not really front on which we engage here. In hindsight, it was well worth it.

We are very excited about what awaits us in London and are happy that it finally starts.
