Dear readers,Today the official launch of my thesis. I'll write on the topic “Development of a solution to the parameterization of standard applications of the integrated control of an industrial camera.” Sounds at first very weighty, but upon closer inspection, no longer so complicated.

Basically it so that the department where I work write so-called “Handling Systems” projects. This means that once a customer request comes in that a project engineer is assigned to the customer service from quotation, through manufacturing, to delivery takes over. Part of this department is the “Machine Vision” team that customer inquiries in camera technology configured.

Well, there are always standard requests, such that the camera part of a “spiral conveyor” examine and evaluate it as a good or bad part. Well it is now sadly, less and less time available for the start of test and production installations. UndProgrammierung always consumes much time, especially since the troubleshooting here forms the largest block of time. To solve this problem is to program the soft parameters and thus to reduce startup times considerably.

My job is to work out these standard applications and then for it to develop a solution that permits easy as possible to parameterize this very different use cases. It will be interesting.
